Naples Florida Beaches – My TOP 5 Naples Beaches

Naples Florida has some of the most beautiful beaches in the US and the world and today I am putting together My TOP 5 Naples Beaches. Please note that these Naples Florida Beaches are not ordered by preference… My top Naples Florida Beaches are rather listed from North Naples going Southbound on US 41 Tamiami Trail all the way down to our great Downtown Naples.

Vanderbilt Beach

Vanderbilt Beach is one of the most popular beach accesses in Naples Florida, and that’s thanks to its prime location near upscale hotels, restaurants and shopping in the popular North Naples area. During season, it can be hard to find a spot on the beach, but there is plenty of sand for everyone. Just be sure to arrive early in the morning, say, before 10AM during season which usually runs from January to March. Vanderbilt Beach also offers a parking garage with enough spots for 375 cars but keep in mind that it closes once it hits maximum capacity. Out of season is usually more quiet and peaceful and parking is not a problem. You might have to pack food and drinks if you don’t want to leave the beach for food, snacks or drinks because the convenience store and cafes are across the street from the beach. You can also rent water sports equipment, beach chairs and cabanas at the concession. To see the main attraction on Vanderbilt Beach, you will have to stay until the end of the day because the sunsets over the water here are simply stunning. Whether you hang around all day or come back at dusk, it’s totally worth watching the sun set over Vanderbilt Beach. Don’t forget to snap a few memorable photographs.

Wiggins Pass

Delnor-Wiggins Pass State Park is one of the most popular destination for nature lovers. It boasts one of the most pristine stretches of beach that was also recognized as one of the best beaches in the US. It has some of the best shelling opportunities on the entire Gulf Coast and it offers visitors and locals the opportunity to sunbathe, swim, paddle-board, scuba dive, kayak, fish, picnic or bird watch and much more along more than 1 mile of unspoiled white sugar sand beach. Once you enter the park, there will be easy access to the beautiful beach from six parking lots that are connected by trails and boardwalks. Some of the available amenities include: picnic areas with grills, drinking fountains, restrooms with wheelchair access, and outdoor showers. Naples Beach Adventures, open in parking Lot #4 offers food and beverages for purchase and watersports equipment rentals such as paddleboards, canoes, kayaks, umbrellas, beach chairs and beach wheelchairs. A boat ramp is also available and accessible for most vessels.

Clam Pass

Clam Pass Park is located in the North Naples area and is one of the most popular beach access points with an over 3000 feet stretch of gorgeous white sand. To get to the beach you will have to walk the wooden boardwalk or catch a tram ride through the beautiful salt-tolerant mangrove forest. The three-quarter-mile boardwalk is a destination in itself giving you the opportunity to view wading coastal birds, butterflies, hawks, eagles, ospreys and other marine life. Amenities at Clam Pass Beach include picnic areas, outdoor showers, restrooms and concessions, not to mention that you can also rent cabanas, beach chairs, skyjets and other watersports equipment. As always, parking is free for residents with a beach parking sticker; as for the tourists and visitors there are credit-card friendly pay stations available.

Lowdermilk Park

Lowdermilk Park is one of Naples’ most popular premier beachfront parks. There is both metered and unmetered parking available, a concession stand located in the middle of the park, a duck pond, two sand volleyball courts, two children’s playgrounds, picnic tables, restrooms and showers. There are also two gazebos available to rent for parties, picnics or family outings. The Beach Cafe is open from 9AM to sunset and they offer a wide variety of foods, snacks and beverages. Umbrellas, beach chairs, kayaks, and paddleboards are also available to rent at the concession stand. Lowdermilk Park Beach is another go to prime destination for those of you who want to catch a gorgeous Florida sunset at the end of the day.

Naples Pier and Beach

Built in 1888 and recently renovated, The Naples Pier and Beach are both a community landmark and one of the most popular attractions in Naples Florida. The Pier extends 1,000 feet into the Gulf of Mexico and is one of the most popular locations in the area for both locals and visitors. It has a bulk fishing license which means you can fish from the Pier 24 hours a day without having a fishing license. The Pier is a great place to spot wildlife such as pelicans and other marine birds looking for scraps left behind by fishermen. You can also spot dolphins, stingrays and other marine life from the pier. The beautiful 10 mile long white sand beach is perfect for sunbathing, water and family activities and is also one of the best places to catch a magnificent sunset on Florida’s Gulf Coast. Amenities include volleyball nets, restrooms, showers, a covered eating area, a concession stand, a bait shop for fishing enthusiasts, and handicap beach wheelchair access. The Pier and the Beach are within walking distance from famous Downtown Naples with its upscale shops and restaurants on 5th Ave and 3rd Street. Metered parking is available for tourists and visitors but if you’re a Naples local parking is free.
